I must admit...it isn't too often I get to wear this jacket due to 80 degree days and constant sun. But on those special days where the clouds don't break till late in the afternoon and some how the temp never gets above 55(That's right...I said it). The Rapha Bomber Jacket can be quite handy.
Rapha says the bomber jacket is a cycling interpretation of a fashion classic and I would definitely agree with this. The jacket works equally as well on or off the bike. It can be worn with tights, shorts, jeans or pants.
While you could easily wear this jacket on a recreational ride Rapha clearly had the city commuter in mind when designing this jacket. The shoulders have been reinforced with a weatherproof fabric thick enough to prevent shoulder strap rubbing. They also positioned the external pocket on the front of the jacket to be accessible even with a messenger style pack on. There is also an extra pocket on the right forearm with key lanyard and clip for easy access to keys. Rapha has also added reflective detailing in both the front and back.
It really isn't too often one can wear cycling specific clothing on the bike and say they arrived in style but with the Rapha Bomber Jacket one could definitely be confident that they arrived in style.
