The Aventuresaurus Collective!

Their Mission:

To ride bicycles across the European continent, starting in Dublin, Ireland and ending in Istanbul, Turkey. We are taking nothing but our bicycles and the essentials: food, clothing, shelter, maps, and a small laptop computer used to publish our journey on a blog. We intend to stay with people when they invite us in, and camp out when we can't. We'll eat what food we can afford along the way and take nothing from the places we visit but our memories and our stories.

Their Cause:

Thousands of Iraqi children suffering from heart disease We are partnering with the Preemptive Love Coalition to raise money to fund an Iraqi boy’s heart surgery. His name is Mohammad Fuad and he is one of thousands in Iraq suffering from congenital heart disease. The disproportionate number of children suffering from heart disease in Iraq is a product of years of conflict and oppression in that war-torn land. Saddam’s chemical attacks, UN sanctions, and malnutrition have had lasting effects and its taken its toll on the little ones. And with no hospitals or doctors in the country capable of the surgery, many families with little money have little reason for hope.

Their Goals:

1. To raise money to fund Mohammad's surgery, at least $5000. Every dollar donated will go to Mohammad through the Preemptive Love Coalition. The money will go toward the cost of the surgery, his airfare to Istanbul where the hospital is, his room, and his board for the trip.

2. To spread the message of Christ's love in war-torn countries and the world at large. By partnering with the Preemptive Love Coalition to help facilitate surgeries, we are not only saving lives but doing our small part to bring peace and reconciliation to the middle East. By investing in saving Mohammad's surgery, we are not only saving his life, but investing in the future. If Mohammad survives, he can grow up to be a man of peace in his community, telling his background story of love; how some Americans saved an Iraqi life, how some Christians loved their Muslim neighbors.

3. To live deeply and know life through experience. Life is a gift. We are reminded what a blessing it is to have a healthy heart and wish to make the most of the opportunities God has given us. We seek to share with others our passion for living and our reason for living: the glory of our creator.

I don't even know what to say but Mr. Landis is just crazy! He has to know that Lance has some serious lawyers and he will not be having any of this. The French are just going to eat this up! Here's to Landis's new soap opera As the Wheels Turn!

Garett...did you have anything to do with this?
Or was it all Julich?

As the team Saxo Bank tackles the roads of California they will also be celebrating 25 years of American cycling history. It was back in 1985 that the cult classic American Flyers hit the screen. It was this movie that inspired a young Bobby Julich. Julich would go on to become one of the most successful cyclist in American history. In his career, Julich finished third in the 1998 Tour de France, and won Paris-Nice in 2005. Julich now works for the Saxo Bank team and is responsible for the idea of creating the commemorative edition American Flyer bikes for the team to ride during the Tour of California.

Good Design in the Bike Shop set...HERE!

Between their outrages paint and their Keith Haringesque head-badge there is definitely something good going on but I'm not sure if it's good design or just plain awesomeness! What does everyone else think?

Viva La Land Shark!
